Position Summary
Our team is hiring local and traveling Sterile
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Processing Technicians to support our growing team. The sterile
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Processing Technician's responsibilities include retrieving
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ contaminated supplies and delivering sterile supplies,
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ maintaining inventory, and preparing sterile instrument trays
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ for surgeries, examinations, and procedures.
We're looking for a self-starter who can manage their
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ time effectively. The role requires drive and a sense of
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ accountability because the day-to-day working environment will
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ involve very little direct supervision.
Sterile Processing Responsibilities

*​ Collecting used and contaminated equipment,
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ instruments, and supplies for sorting and decontamination.
*​ Manually cleaning supplies of contaminants,
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ remove waste matter, and operating and maintaining
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ decontamination equipment.
*​ Preparing and packing decontaminated supplies for
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ sterilization.
*​ Monitoring and operating sterilization equipment.
*​ Examining supplies meticulously to ensure they
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ are properly cleaned and sanitized.
*​ Testing and reporting any issues or problems with
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ the sterilization equipment.
*​ Sterilizing, preparing, wrapping, and organizing
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ equipment into instrument trays for use during medical
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ procedures.
*​ Preparing and delivering all necessary equipment
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ and instruments for surgeries, examinations, medical
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ procedures, and medical carts.
*​ Maintaining records of sterilization procedures,
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ sterilized items, equipment maintenance, and supplies.
*​ Controlling the inventory, reordering supplies,
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ and checking expiration dates.
Sterile Processing Technician Qualifications /
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Skills:

*​ Sterilizing Technology internal and external
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ courses attendance.
*​ Flexible approach to work practices.
*​ Computer literacy.
Sterile Processing Technician Education,
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

*​ High school diploma or equivalent
*​ 1-2 years’ experience in a Sterile Processing
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Department required.
*​ Certified SPD Technician preferred
*​ Must be able to speak, read, write and understand
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ medical terminology in order to follow written instructions
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ and complete various forms and records regarding equipment’s
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ processing and preparation of equipment’s.
*​ Must be able to regularly lift to 30 lbs., stoop,
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ bend, pull, and place and retrieve material.
Hours & Compensation

*​ 1st, 2nd & 3rd shifts are available
*​ Days:Monday - Friday
*​ Travelers pay: $1,489.15 - $1,884.55 weekly with
​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ per diem

Salary: $1,800.00 - $2,200.00 per week
