Position:School Physical Therapist (PT)
Location: McDonough, GA
Salary: Starting at $35+/hr (Based on Experience)
Setting: Middle and High School Resource Classroom
Student Capacity: 32 students

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with middle and high school students in our 32-capacity resource classroom, collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure that each student receives the care and support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate students' needs and develop individualized physical therapy programs.
2. Implement physical therapy interventions in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 plan.
3. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate physical therapy and learning.
4. Maintain up-to-date records on students' progress and therapies.
5. Advise, support, and train school staff on how best to assist students during physical therapy sessions.
6. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss the educational, physical, and social needs of students.
7. Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and needs.

Qualifications:

1. A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Georgia.
2. Experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy is preferred.
3. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
4. Knowledge of current PT practices and methodologies, especially as they relate to school-aged children.
5. Strong organizational skills.
