ABOUT THE FACILITY
The Progressive Care Unit is a combined Med-Surg/ICU, acuity adjustable unit. It consists of 18 private rooms with capacity to flex up during periods of high census and contains 3 high acuity rooms as well as one isolation room.Telemetry and higher acuity patients not requiring monitoring are roomed nearer to the central nurses station. Lower acuity patients are managed via a substation. The Progressive Care Nurse also provides Level I Post Anesthesia Care for surgical patients during hours when the PACU is not operational.
