*Total Travel Package =$2,237/week
WeeklyHousing Allowance: $672

The Medical/SurgicalRegistered Nurse, as a professional practitioner employed by Maxim HealthcareServices, Inc., assumes responsibility and accountability for the applicationof the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The nurse demonstratesability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficientmanner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking andperformance ability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performsaccording to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care andassisting others in the management of patient care.
Responsibilities:
Utilizes the nursingprocess to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
Performs focusedinterview to identify specific patients' needs.
Assess signs andsymptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient'scondition.
Collects, analyzes, andinterprets data and information from health care members and documents actualand/or potential nursing diagnoses.
Documents the patient'splan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, andselected nursing interventions.
Identifies andprioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements.
Monitors consistencybetween patient plan of care and actions of medical staff.
Performs interventionsaccording to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies andpatient care outcome standard.
Provides a safe,comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
Initiates and evaluatespatient and/or family education.
Revises the plan of careaccording to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, andeffective/ineffective nursing interventions.
Documents patient'sresponse to nursing and other interventions.
Uses clinical judgmentin evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floorincluding establishing priorities.
Monitors the safety andeffectiveness of the environment and equipment.
Participates inactivities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the chosenfacility.
Supports professionalpractice by observing the following: Uses knowledge and practices inaccordance with 1) the Nurse Practice Act; 2) Standards of Nursing Practice; 3)Standards of Patient Care; 4) The Joint Commission, state and local laws; 5)Patient's Bill of Rights; and 6) Maxim Healthcare, nursing and client hospitalpolicies.
Other duties asassigned.
Requirements:
Current Registered NurseLicense for the state in which the nurse practices.
Full command of the Englishlanguage, both verbal and written.
Current HealthCertificate (per facility contract or state regulation).
Current PPD or ChestX-Ray.
One year priorprofessional nursing experience preferred.
Current BLS card.
Successful completion ofMaxim Staffing Solutions testing process.
