Responsibilities
Manages the day to day operations of the Simulation Center under the direction of Clinical Education Director. To include meeting goals of the institutional specific missions: improve the quality of healthcare, improve the patient safety outcomes, and work with all clinical disciplines to promote best practice utilization of simulation in clinical and non-clinical education. Plans, designs, implements, and evaluates simulation-based learning to support orientation and ongoing education aligned with system goals, strategies, and initiatives. Incorporation of best practice and evidenced-based research in program development with a focus on standardization and efficiencies across the healthcare continuum will be foundational. Oversees the development of Simulation Center staff. Reports to and supports the
Clinical Education Director with operational services including input to the budget; equipment and supplies procurement; scheduling of departments and users; and supervision of Simulation Center staff.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in related field required.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience required.
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
- RN, NP, or PA-C license from Arizona or a compact state required.
- Solid working knowledge of simulation application.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and computer technology skills.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and improve processes.
- Extensive reading, verbal communication, writing, presentation and experience in integrating information technology.
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare simulation preferred.
- Master's degree strongly preferred.
