Registered Nurse - PCU
South Dakota; Rapid City Hospital / Clinical Coordination & Staffing Float Pool Unit
13-Week Contract/ 12-hour day shifts / 36 hours a week.
We are looking for a traveling PCU level Registered Nurse to fill a FLOAT POOL POSITION:
In this role you will provide direct patient care to individuals who are in a stable but critical condition often times recovering from surgery or with complex medical conditions. Travel RN will provide strong critical thinking skills to assess complex situations quickly and make informed decisions. Must be able float throughout various units within Rapid City Location within or below scope of practice to include MedSurg.

Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Minimum 1.5 years of general travel nursing experience OR, if this is your first time as a travel RN, confirm you have previous float pool and 2+ years of general nursing experience
Confirm you live a minimum of 100 miles AWAY from Monument Health Facility
Work a rotating schedule weekend/holiday
Stay on your feet for 12 hour shifts
Certified BLS
Certified ACLS
Certified NIHSS
Approved Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Responsibilities
- RN will float routinely between: Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Medical, Progressive Care Unit, Oncology, Heart and Vascular/
- If experienced outside of this Intermediate Care – could be floated within scope of practice and below. ICU and ED skillsets may be utilized if applicable.
- RN will support CNA; Charge nurse; Phlebotomy; Resource Nurse; RT; Hospitalist.
- RN must have experience with titration of all drips below:
- Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine, Insulin
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, Blood product administration, CIWA, drain/tube management, indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management, continuous bladder irrigation, chest tube maintenance.
- Charting system/Equipment to include Epic, Omnicell and Alaris IV Pumps.
