Job Description:
- Performs phlebotomy on out-patients and in-patients to include acute patient care areas in accordance with established National Patient Safety Goals.
- The phlebotomist demonstrates service excellence and positive interpersonal skills when dealing with others to include patients, family members, nurses, physicians and ancillary care team members.
- Performs accurate processing of all laboratory specimens in a timely manner to ensure quality patient care.
- Ensure following proper PPE, patient identifications, and collection techniques, while securing each sample with proper requisitions, sending scanned specimen tracking logs and prepare for a prearranged FedEx pick up.
Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy Certification
- High School Diploma
- Experience with inpatient behavioral health units.
