Position Overview:
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in assistinghealthcare teams during various interventional radiology procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure the safety and well-being ofpatients throughout their diagnostic and therapeutic journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up the interventional radiology suite, including all necessary equipment, supplies, and medications.
Assist radiologists and other healthcare providers during interventional procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, biopsies, and catheterization.
Position patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
Operate and maintain specialized radiology equipment, including fluoroscopy and digital imaging systems.
Monitor patients' vital signs and condition during procedures, promptly reporting any abnormalities.
Administer contrast media and medications as directed by the radiologist.
Maintain accurate patient records and procedure documentation.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and infection control practices.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) certification.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred.
State licensure or certification as required by law.
Minimum of 2years of experience in interventional radiology.
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting radiology equipment.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
