TRAVEL COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Arrange travel and accommodation for employees and company guests planning, organizing and securing travel reservations with foreign suppliers and working with clients.
- Serve as a general resource and point of contact for travel-related issues; assist employees with travel-related issues or concerns
- The Tour Travel Coordinator is responsible for researching destinations, making payments and maintaining accurate accounting and documentation for each tour, preparing supporting documents, as well as for client and supplier communication.
- Research, negotiate, and secure rate with airlines, car rental companies, and hotels
- Review and ensure all contracts for appearances include necessary specifications
- Act to ensure safe and efficient travel operations, in accordance with organizational policies and guidelines
- Receive and respond to incoming travel requests on behalf of the organization
- Perform special projects and assignments as directed
TRAVEL COORDINATOR QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of experience in corporate travel or a related field is also required.
- Need someone who can work independently and as part of a team. Must have strong oral and written communication skills; must be a good listener. Must be extremely well-organized, able to multitask and prioritize. Need a positive attitude, attention to detail, patience, and persistence.
- Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Must be a citizen of (country). Must possess a valid (state) driver’s license and have access to a vehicle. Candidates must pass a criminal background check and employment history, education, and credit verifications.
TRAVEL COORDINATOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to communicate orally with employees and vendors is crucial. Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential. Hearing and vision correctable to within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
- The ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time, as well as the ability to move about the office occasionally (accessing files/storage, office equipment, computers and other office productivity devices, attending meetings, etc.), is required.
- Using a computer while sitting for extended periods is common. Must also be able to position self to maintain equipment, including under tables and desks.
