Transporter

• Assists in the preparation for transport and transports patients safely, in a timely and efficient manner, to and from various areas of the hospital.
• Follows appropriate patient instructions from authorized Nursing staff and Technicians.
• Responds to assignments and completes assignments in a timely manner, notifies dispatcher when job assignments are completed or if there is a delay.
• Observes and reports any obvious condition changes or problems and patient may have.
• Transports objects such as lab specimens, medical supplies, medical equipment, other patient related items, etc., to and from various areas of the hospital.
• Communicates with patients, patients’ families and staff to ensure patient satisfaction and excellent customer service is provided.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and reports issues and safety concerns immediately to supervisor.
• Follows safety guidelines and proper lifting techniques.
• Provide on the job training to new employees.
• Complete required training as assigned.
• Adhere to patient privacy policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality.
• Responds promptly to customer requests, provide excellent customer service and collaborates with other departments throughout the organization.
• Complies with Hospital and department policies, work rules and requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $15.61-20.46 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
