Transportation Specialist/Driver

CSC is searching for a part-time Transportation Specialist to assist in transporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities from their home to day center, and/or day center to home.

Day Center is located off of 144 and Center. Shift hours between 7 and 9am, and 2 and 4pm. Possibility for some extended hours. Split shift or either schedule block is available.

You have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives without working direct 8-hour shift.

No special licensing is required for this position.

Job Duties:

• Provide supervision to a people with intellectual and developmental disabilities during the transportation process to and from the Day Center.
• Ensure the safety of individuals while in route, ensuring individual is dropped off with caregiver present, including ensuring appropriate "hand off" of supervision.
• Follow all applicable transportation laws and regulations.

• Transportation Specialist will complete any training and background checks required by CSC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
• Transportation Specialist will ensure valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mature & dependable individual; minimum age of 18 years.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must meet background and reference requirements.
• Reliable Vehicle with Proof of Auto Insurance.
• Clean Driving Record. No suspensions & less than three tickets in three years.
• Computer/smart phone skills sufficient to complete required documentation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
