Summary

Buckle is adding to our Warehouse Team — we’re seeking hardworking individuals who are interested in a fast-paced work environment. Freight Specialists enjoy a casual dress code, a positive work environment, and being able to listen to their own music while they work. Current hours are 6:30AM-3:00PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This description intends to describe the general nature and level of work performed by Teammates assigned to this job. It is not intended to include all duties, responsibilities and qualifications.   • Safely and efficiently unload inbound and outbound freight out of trucks manually by hand.
  • Sort and stack all inbound freight by style onto slip sheets and prepare for processing.
  • Physically lift freight by hand, stooping, pulling freight down from the top of stacks, etc.
  • Manually unstack inbound slip sheet boxes into outbound freight lines feeding the pick-to-light lines and 998 areas by priority status.
  • Responsible for thorough follow through on all orders being released to designated areas.
  • Effectively communicate with Processing Assistant Managers, DC Receiving team and No Read Operators on releasing boxes.
  • Manually move freight boxes by hand in and out of 998 locations daily.
  • Use RF scanners to process each transaction.
  • Assist in verifying counts and locations for inventory accuracy and accounting purposes.
  • Load all outbound boxes onto trucks for store delivery and ecommerce delivery while monitoring boxes
  • for proper taping and label placement.
  • Complete any freight tasks in supplies as based on business need.
  • In person attendance is required to move freight.
  • Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this Job, the Teammate is regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours or more; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The Teammate is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Teammate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or more than 60 pounds. Teammate must be comfortable working at heights on a multilevel mezzanine and have the ability to climb multi-level of stairs on a daily basis. Also regularly required to bend, twist and turn at waist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate regularly works in a warehouse setting. The Teammate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
