Job Summary
*Part Time Position to Float between our Laurens and Greenwood Locations as needed for fill-in shifts, at first, potentially leading to a 40 hour route (if desired)*
*20-40 hours per week (subject to Specialist's Work availability)!!*
Elite Adult Day Centers provides an engaging, social environment for Elder Adults {we specialize in Dementia Care) & Young Adults 18 and over with Special Needs. Our Transportation Specialists ensure our Day Center members are transported to and from the location daily. In addition, we may transport members of the community to doctor's appointments, physical therapy, substance abuse treatment & many other essential services, as approved. It is of the utmost importance that our Transportation Specialists are reliable, courteous, compassionate and prompt. Our Members and their families rely on us to ensure their loved one gets the care and engagement they need and to that end we are essential to their lives.
Compensation & Benefits
The Transportation Specialist (Floater/Fill-in) position will be offered a competitive wage of $11.75 to $16 per hour, paid weekly.

Pay based on Experience, Availability, & any currently held certifications {Please see below for required certifications}
Required for successful compliance to be able to transport our members:
{Elite will provide Training & ReCertifications, as necessary)
> Be able to pass a National criminal & SLED background check
> Drug Screen
> Clean 10 year driving record (minor speeding tickets may be excluded depending on severity)
> Be able to pass and obtain DOT Physical Certificate
> CPR & First Aid Certification
> Defensive Driving Course
> CTAA Passenger Safety Hands-on Wheelchair Certification
Responsibilities
• Provide time sensitive and safe transportation of eligible clients from their home or other appropriate locations to the Elite Adult Day Center or Approved Medical Facility..
• Comply with all vehicle and roadway safety laws and ensure that clients are transported in a safe manner.
• Follows appropriate safety regulations of the company, the State of South Carolina, and other local government organizations.
• Helps passengers in and out of vehicle, secures wheelchairs, walkers, and/or canes on securement devices in the vehicle, and transfers special and medical equipment, such as portable oxygen tanks and suction machines.
• Responsible for standardizing the vehicle load as required by clients and staff.
• Maintains a clean and professional appearance inside and outside of the vehicle.
• Follow company policies and procedures for client care.
• Ensure appropriate documentation is completed for each traveler.
• Other duties as assigned
Additional Requirements for Employment with Elite Transportation
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and maintained vehicle insurance required.
• Ability to read and understand maps.
• Basic math and arithmetic skills and basic knowledge of operating electronic devices.
• Must be flexible, organized, dependable, work independently with minimum supervision
• Must pass a Physical Examination and Drug Test
• Must be familiar with the area and able to accurately calculate travel times.
• Must be able to deal with the public in a professional, courteous, and dignified manner.
• Must pass a background check
