Job Location: Remote - New Jersey, USA (ability to drive into the headquarters office in Ewing, NJ on an as-needed basis).
Role Summary
In this highly impactful remote based role, you will be responsible for supporting the successful development, implementation and maintenance for all aspects of the US Domestic Transportation Network to include: risk mitigation strategies, carrier contract & relationship management, industry outlook updates, bid events, negotiations, benchmarking activities, carrier performance scorecard development, evaluation & communication of timely systemic updates to ensure stable capacity at controlled costs. You will assist in recommending critical decisions that influence on time, case fill, and $220 million in Logistics Costs while helping to develop & maintain strategic relationships with over eighty transportation partners.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and implementing solutions to drive improvement in all Transportation cost and service key performance indicators (KPI’s) by leveraging data and trends within our reporting systems.
- Support all Transportation bid activities as necessary for our US Domestic business and assist with rate and ongoing system management activities throughout the year.
- Responsible for assisting in the preparation and facilitation for strategic carrier meetings.
- Supporting the rationalization of carrier partner network to include adding new partners as needed to support changing business needs while also removing those that no longer fit our network model and or not meeting our established business requirements.
- Identify and implement Good to Great projects for the Corporate Transportation Team to generate gross margin savings opportunities.
- Participate in cross functional project teams with internal and external parties to drive improvement opportunities.
Education and Experience
- BS/BA degree required
- 3+ years of Supply Chain/Logistics experience
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems, e2open TMS preferred
- Experience with Predictive Analytics Applications, FourKites preferred
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Microsoft Power BI preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution Module preferred
- Strong MS Office skills required

- Basic understanding of the general Transportation environment including pricing, modes, and strategies
