POSITION SUMMARY:
The Transportation Clerk position has the responsibility to work safely, maintain a positive attitude, be respectful to all and focus efforts and abilities towards a positive culture and morale. This position also will perform duties related to assisting the transportation team in building loads for shipment and dispatching loads to carriers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reviews completed loads.
- Inputs data into system for load to be dispatched.
- Maintains accurate data collection
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certificate(s) or License(s):
- Years of experience: 2 years in a general office
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Knowledge of products being shipped (boats, motors, trailers, parts, etc.)
- Knowledge of AS400, willingness to learn
- Ability to multi-task
- Organizational skills
- Ability to read and follow standard operations processes
- Ability to cross train
