Logistics

Moving product is the crucial steps in the product’s journey to our clients. It takes analytical, strategic, and results-oriented inventory and carrier management professionals to build our partnerships and optimize inventory levels across our network. Operations and logistics complete the products’ journey into our clients’ hands. Your role at Sephora:

Reporting to the Manager, Transportation, the Transportation Analystis responsible for support and analysis of local Distribution Center fulfillment deliveries and carrier communication around such deliveries as assigned. Incumbent will provide tactical and strategic support in areas of exception management, reporting and metrics/analysis as needed. The Transportation Analyst works closely with internal and external business partners to improve processes, recommend cost efficient processes that streamline carrier delivery solutions and supply chain workflow to leadership. Reduce costs and increase/improve service offerings. This position will be an integral part of developing best practices, key metrics and processes for carrier management.


  • Manage local Retail DC operational needs to support store deliveries and reverse logistics.
  • Conduct bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly check ins and business reviews with carriers to review KPIs and optimize performance.
  • Proactively measure and support carrier key performance indicators (KPI’s) for quality logistics performance, timely transit, and operational service. Take corrective action as needed in partnership with Transportation Manager.
  • Process carrier freight claims from research and settlement.
  • Work closely on New Store shipments in partnership with Transportation Analyst New Stores and Construction.
  • Work closely with internal customers to develop and maintain goals and process that support overall goals of Sephora.
  • Provide coverage when team members are out of office.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Logistics or BA/BS degree/experieince strongly preferred
  • Preferred 3+ years analytical experience working in logistics specifically with LTL, TL and small package industry.
  • Previous experience with distribution centers and foreign suppliers and providers
  • Previous experience or ability to quickly develop proficiency with transportation systems TMS, WMS, Freight Optimization, Load Planning) preferred
  • Project leadership experience
  • Proficient MS Office applications: Excel, Word, Power Point, etc
