RATE OF PAY: $16.00
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Transport injured and special medical need students between East and West High School campus buildings during class crossing periods.
- Ability to assist students in entry and exit of Transport Van.
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
- Ability to repeatedly bend, twist and turn.
- During class time periods, maintain a high profile in the halls and student pathway to be highly visible to students; be approachable and receptive.
- Encourage appropriate interaction among all students in the hallways and pathway.
- Create an environment in which individual differences are respected.
- Confront and document inappropriate behavior (i.e., behavior inconsistent with Grand Blanc Board of Education policies).
- Record and report conflicts to Administrators.
- Observe and report student behavior which may indicate personal, social, or academic problems.
- Be informed about school policies and student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook.
- Be supportive and helpful to students and staff members.
- Sustain a service mentality toward students, parents, and staff
- Use wise judgment in dealing with students in decision-making on the job.
- Follow appropriate chain of command, handle decisions at the lowest level, and take conflicts to administration.
- Possess and demonstrate an upbeat, courteous attitude and behavior.
- Be diplomatic, tactful, and cooperative while on the job.
- Provide a model of maturity and leadership.
- Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Attend training as directed by Supervisor.
