Local Cdl A Driver

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Driver to join our team. As a Local Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations within a designated area. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

Duties:
- Load and unload goods onto the truck using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual labor
- Operate a variety of vehicles including roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and refrigerated trailers
- Drive routes efficiently and safely, following all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure its safe operation
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must have experience driving manual transmission vehicles
- Previous experience in automotive repair or maintenance is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is preferred
- Knowledge of route driving within the local area is advantageous
- Familiarity with tanker operations is a plus

Skills:
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good physical stamina for loading/unloading goods as required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills for interacting with dispatchers, customers, and team members
