Job Description
This position is responsible for transporting finished goods and raw materials between facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and unload finished goods and raw materials using a forklift or pallet jack (if necessary)
- Check accuracy and stability of the load
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections using ELD (GeoTab)
- Operate industrial vehicles and equipment
- Connect and disconnect trailers
- Maintain DOT Required documentation using ELD (GeoTab)
- Maintain DOT time log, Bill of Lading and other paperwork as required
- Maintain vehicle, product, equipment and other company property to company standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
- Transport finished goods and raw materials between facilities
- Facilitate the trailer moves in the PC/DC yards if needed upon arrival
Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of general work experience required
- 1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
- Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
- Demonstrated attention to detail
