In this position...
+ Take on an exciting new challenge by leading the development of cutting-edge tests and analytical tools for the Underbody Mechanical Components Department at Ford, driving innovation and advancing the state of the art in automotive engineering.
+ Collaborate closely with a talented team of gear, bearing, shaft, and differential experts to identify key areas for improvement, leveraging your skills and expertise to make a meaningful impact on the company's products and processes.
+ Enhance your technical capabilities and build your expertise in DFMA and DVP disciplines, sharpening your skills and contributing to the growth and success of the entire department.
What you'll do...
+ Lead Development testing and analytical validation of BEV Components
+ Gears, bearings, shafts, differentials, power pack assembly.
+ Create Analytical models to analytically predict design life
+ Progress all testing requirements to be life/TTF based requirements
+ Work with Duty cycle engineers to create duty cycle requirements
+ Cascade design requirements to design engineers
+ Progress State of the art analytical validation process
+ Create testing to validate analytical modeling capabilities
+ Verify FMA completion by design engineers
+ Utilize FMA document to create testing capabilities to validate all aspects of BEV performance
+ Responsible for coordinating and testing supplier requests for change Current model applications.
+ Responsible for Analytical sign-off of new BEV component designs
+ Responsible for component testing validation of designs.
+ Responsible for validation of efficiency targets at the component level
+ Responsible for testing and validating changes to current model programs.
+ Support design engineer in development of design upgrades and test failure root cause analysis
+ Create and Lead ADVP and DVP with supplier and manufacturing teams
You'll have...
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
+ 5+ years of experience with engineering and Design & Release background.
+ 2+ years of experience in transmission, BEV Power Unit, and/or Axel development,
+ Strong communication & organizational skills
+ Highly motivated, passionate leader
+ Strong problem-solving skills
Even better, you may have...
+ Master's degree in engineering or related field
+ Strong Interests in battery electric and electro-mechanical component and system design.
+ Ability to review and assess 2D/3D CAD data, stacks and VSA studies
+ Familiarity with EMC specification
