In this position, you will explore new frontiers, use your positive and engaging communication style to influence and motivate team members and build strong relationships within the organization and with clients. Further, you will have meaningful guidance from firm leadership for staffing and business development in addition to the ability to perform due diligence while living inside or outside of traditional major markets.

How you will contribute:
- Perform buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence for private equity groups and corporate clients
- Analyze tax risks of target companies using tax returns, accounting information, and interviews with management
- Prepare and analyze reports correlating tax diligence and tax structuring findings with client valuations
- Identify issues affecting purchase price, deal structure, or deal termination
- Read and advise clients with respect to purchase agreements
- Recommend post-acquisition actions to achieve tax efficiency and minimize tax risks
- Work closely with executives, investment bankers, private equity and corporate clients, attorneys, or other stakeholders
- Work alongside other BKD team members to exceed client expectations

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college/university
- CPA license or admission to state bar preferred
- JD or master's degree in taxation preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in corporate or partnership tax or transaction tax (M&A tax) from a large public accounting or consulting firm
- Strong current knowledge in U.S. federal income tax, mergers and acquisitions, and transaction services
- Current knowledge in state and local tax is a plus
- Recent experience with corporate and pass-through tax concepts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
