Requirements
Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written
and verbal form.
2. 5-7 years management experience leading a team of at least four Team Members.
3. Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of adult learning.
4. Bachelor's Degree in related field.
5. Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning,
coordination, and execution, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership
techniques.
6. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
7. Able to operate computer software programs, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
8. Experience in utilizing and overseeing a Learning Management System.
9. Able to exercise effective organization and time management skills.
10. Experience in budget management.
11. Skill in dealing successfully with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic, ethnic and
cultural backgrounds.
12. Skill in contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or individual goals, objectives,
and activities.
13. Ability to thrive in an environment operating at a rapid pace with high intensity and frequent change; with the ability to juggle multiple projects or tasks at once and take on new initiatives in short notice.

Job Description
Training Manager responsibilities include planning, directing, and coordinating the implementation of all training activities and initiatives, as well as developing, modifying implementing training materials for such programs. The Training Manager also prepares the training budget and monitors all monthly expenses. This position is responsible for developing, coaching, training and mentoring all Training Team Members. All responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and
promoting our values.
2. Plan, direct and coordinate the implementation of training initiatives/activities. Formulate and
coordinate the training schedules at the property level, and market training initiatives to generate excitement and interest in curriculum.
3. Analyze and assess property training needs to develop new training courses/programs, or to modify and improve existing programs. Confer with management, supervisors, and leaders to identify training needs based on projected property goals.
4. Oversee the design and development of new training courses based upon property needs utilizing the most effective methods of delivery, such as individual training, classroom training, demonstrations, job aids, on-the- job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
5. Evaluate effectiveness of training programs and instructor performance and implement modifications and improvements. Measure the effectiveness of transfer of skills and make recommendations for enhancement.
6. Train, coach, and develop the Training Team.
7. Oversee the development of training books, manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
8. Coordinate established courses with technical and professional courses provided by community schools and approved vendors.
9. Prepare training budget for department. Monitor monthly expenses to ensure that expenditures are made within budgetary requirements.
10. Manage the execution of the LMS and ensure accurate record keeping for all training and development activities.
11. Monitor compliance training requirements and coordinate the communication of deadlines to department owners.
12. Assist departments to identify job specific training requirements and incorporate the requirements into the LMS.
13. Oversee all training materials to ensure that such materials are current and provide effective
management tools and techniques.
14. Oversee monthly break out/lunch and learns hosted by Trainers to review key feedback take-aways.
15. Oversee quick learns provided by Trainers as they attend Guest Service Champions meetings.
