Job Purpose Reporting to the Director of Tax, this position will play a key role in leading Sanmina’s International Tax function. This position will be responsible for the coordination and completion of a wide range of tax functions with an emphasis on International Tax and transfer pricing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Manager, International Tax will primarily support the development and execution of International Tax planning initiatives, International Tax compliance, audit defense and in support of business objectives and tax department goals. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who takes ownership of projects, is organized, possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and is able to deliver on tight deadlines.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate and departmental policies and procedures, such as:
- Assist with annual income tax provisions;
- Assist with reviewing the quarterly and annual US international calculations for inclusion into the global effective tax rate calculation as needed. This may include subpart F, GILTI, FTC, FDII, & BEAT among other items such as Fin48; Assist with preparation and review of APB23, Sec. 987 calculation updates, tax basis calculations, and asset allocation calculations;
- Review quarterly/annual foreign payables reconciliations and tax account rollforwards, payments, refunds;
- Coordination and review of source country income tax filings and transfer pricing reports prepared by external providers;
- Preparation/Review of annual Report of Foreign Bank and Financial as assigned by leadership and assist others when needed;
- Research complex US International Tax issues and positions, conduct various tax research projects and analyze the income tax implications of any new tax legislations with proper memorandums prepared and provide tax provision and tax controversy support as needed;
- Support the US International tax aspects of the US federal tax return including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and 1118, E&P and foreign tax credit computations, related disclosures and elections and related aspects of the quarterly tax provision;
- Assist with the global BEPS compliance and coordinate with outside service providers for local BEPS compliance requirements;
- Prepare/review the group’s global service fee allocation model;
- Attend and prepare notes of functional analysis interviews, clearly and in a timely manner
- Support the analysis and readiness of global tax-related regulatory developments, including BEPS Pillar 2, etc;
- Provide support in responding to IDRs relating to US International Tax queries.
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of progressive US International Tax experience, ideally with a mix of Big4 and industry (but those with a different mix of experiences should apply);
- Experience with ASC740 required and experience with financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS, SFRS, and/or local GAAP preferred;
- Familiar with intercompany accounting;
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation preferred;
- Self-starter with strong accounting, analytical, time management and project management skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively with team members;
- Must be well-organized, hands-on, detail-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Proficient computer skills including strong working knowledge of Excel required; and Oracle, OneSource and Alteryx experience a plus.

Salary Range(annual): $125,000 - $150,000
