Location: Marysville, OH (MMC), (hybrid remote)

About this Position:
Manage a development focused training alignment process across HDMA using engagement, evaluation, communication, and Vendor interfacing to align career level and job family training systems, methods and training opportunities with defined knowledge and skills to promote associate development to better meet company objectives and targets.
Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain an understanding of career level and job family competencies needed across HDMA to identify training needs and development opportunities. Must also analyze and support identification of company designated role critical training.
  • Manage job family training budget by understanding existing contracts and payment timings as well as forecasting each Ki's future spending to ensure adequate payment timings and available trainings. Makes the case for training funding.
  • Stay current with both internal Honda as well as vendor supplied training in industry to identify sources of material / content with applicability to Honda needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate training based on identified needs for appropriate vendor sourcing or internal content creation. Vendor sourced areas will require management from scope of work through the purchasing (PO issuance and invoicing approval) and implementation process; whereas internally developed material will require SME identification and support through content creation.
  • Manage a detailed schedule for needed training content creation and provide regular communication of each project’s status to ensure timely decision making and delivery of needed content.
  • Understand and communicate to training delivery team instructor need and expected frequency of training delivery to ensure proper trainer selection and timing.
  • Maintain PDCA of training to understand cost effectiveness, applicability and utilization to effectively use company resources. When beneficial and effective learning technology and methods are identified, propose long term management resources and methods for company approval.
  • Collaborate with related departments and divisions within Honda to understand common challenges and adopt best practices to improve human development characteristics.

Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
  • 5 years technical experience (manufacturing or design) in business area/division
Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant work experience)
