The Opportunity
As a Training & Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our associates. You will work collaborate with various departments to identify training needs, design curriculum, and facilitate engaging learning experiences. This position requires a passionate and dynamic individual with a proven track record in instructional design, training delivery, and a commitment to employee development.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll work in our Tampa office on our People Success team, reporting to the Head of People Success/ Chief Brand Officer. Our People Success team strives to create the best experience for our associates throughout the employee lifecycle. They work together to strategically support associates to allow them to do their best work and facilitate a high level of productivity and engagement. What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with departmental heads to assess training needs and develop targeted programs.
- Design, update, and customize training materials, including manuals, presentations, and multimedia visual aids.
- Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for employees at all levels.
- Utilize various training methods, including classroom instruction, virtual training, and on-the-job coaching.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge and skill gaps within the organization.
- Analyze performance data and employee feedback to continuously improve training programs.
- Ensure accurate records of employee training and compliance.
- Develop and implement assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Collect and analyze feedback from participants to make continuous improvements.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training programs with organizational goals.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Training Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Training and Development, or a related field.
- 3 + years progressive experience training experience
Preferred
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
