GENERAL SUMMARY
In this role, the Production Trainer will take on a large part in the training process of new and existing Team Members. It is the duty of this position to ensure that new Team Members or those that are assuming a new position are following the T Level training plan as laid out in the Training Database and ensuring the development of Sevierville’s Team Member competencies to be successful in their job.This will be accomplished with continous mentoring, positive communication, and support.
This position is responsible for contributing to a safe work place and minimizing negative environmental impacts by complying with the EHS policies, procedures, work instructions outlined in the EHSMS Training Assessment for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Being an essential part of a Team Member’s onboarding/orientation process
- Works one on one with Team Members in training, department Trainers, Advanced Technicians and Production Supervisors to ensure that the training process is correctly executed and results in successful training.
- Will be required to maintain current and up to date information on all Production SOPs, create new training and SOPs as needed.
- Will be required to participate in Quality and EHS audits of the Training System
- Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house)
- Maintain updated Skill and training databases.
- Schedules training events, obtains training materials, and ensures employees are kept abreast of training requirements.
- Coordinates with internal and external partners for in-person and remote/virtual meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Maintains frequent contact with Team Members in training during the introductory period, to provide training, give feedback and ensure the training plan is correctly executed.
- Is a point of contact to partner with the Supervisors to ensure the Team Member is learning, give feedback, and develop a remedial plan if Team Member is not progressing.
- Ensures compliance with all EHS policies and procedures including the instruction on safe work practices, the promotion of safety consciousness while practicing safety procedures, the enforcement of policy regarding safety and making recommendations when needed.
- Sees that company policies and programs are effectively made known; cooperates and assists in the development of effective communications.
- Maintains inter-departmental relationships of such a caliber as to promote confidence, integrity and cooperation.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member must have the ability to maneuver around plant machinery, work near moving mechanical parts and work in an environment with varying temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
