Job description

This is an exciting new role with Clayco! If selected, you will be able to help create and shape this role along with your supervisor’s oversight and team collaboration. This role resides within Talent Development where you will be responsible for creating custom digital Training Content that is available to all employees throughout the enterprise as well as specialized training for various roles.

Seeking someone with a passion for training and development and a creative mindset to produce content using the newest technology and techniques.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with teams to design and develop digital content and online courses through the creation and improvement of online content such as videos and graphics keeping brand in mind
  • Operates digital and video equipment, including associated computer hardware and software to support high
  • quality digital content production
  • Sets up and takes down cameras, microphones, lighting, props and other equipment
  • Utilizing video production techniques including lighting, sound and camera operation
  • Shoots, edits and produces multimedia videos for online viewing
  • Establishing and applying post-production processes
  • Shoots video segments in the studio and in the field
  • Uses lighting, spacing and editing techniques to enhance images
  • Uses and maintains computer-based graphics files, editing software, and other video production support applications
  • Collaborates with teams to develop content, write scripts and conduct voiceovers
  • Collaborates with team to confirm course specifications, resolve gaps, and create an effective learning experience
  • Assures the produced courses align with the strategy for the overall learning outcome, keeping them on time and on budget
  • Promotes the creation and development of content in various learning modes, diverse learning styles and engaging formats such as videos, gamification, quizzes, instructor-led webinars, etc.
  • Plans layouts, sketches or chooses artwork, colors and type style and size to produce effective visual training images
  • Varied Work Environment: Enjoy variety with office and fieldwork at construction sites
  • Travel Opportunities: Expect to travel locally and out-of-state as needed
    • While this role is based in St. Louis and not considered a high travel role, travel may vary based on project needs
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to transport heavy video equipment to and from shoot locations
    • Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds

Education/Experience/Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, video production or related field
    • OR High School diploma (or equivalent) with experience/training
  • 2-4 years of experience in videography and editing demonstrated through a portfolio
  • Proficiency in DSLR camera operations (Sony, Canon, Red, Blackmagic)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Solid post-production experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut and/or DaVinci Resolve
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant software
  • Strong understanding of digital and video production, editing techniques and color correction
  • Skills in filming, lighting, editing, storytelling, content development and online video publishing
  • Experience designing and developing engaging, learner-centered eLearning content utilizing Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate or other authoring tools
  • Developing and/or working knowledge of VR applications, 3D production and publishing
  • Ability to translate complex, technical topics into engaging and accessible online content through user interfaces, graphics, illustrations, animations, video and/or simulations for eLearning courseware

  • Technologically savvy with a drive to stay up-to-date with trends and new technologies
