SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting the Training Center Instructor with the administrative duties and tasks.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Writes and closes repair orders.
Picks up and returns vehicles to local dealerships.
Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional
needed service.
Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and
parts.
Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a
copy.
Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers
regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost
and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before
any additional repairs are performed.
Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional
work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three
months related experience and/or training.
Some experience as a service technician in order to assist trainer with
helping the technician trainees.
