- Develop and conduct job Training and Development programs for operations employees
- Develop material to train newly hired operations employees on basic optics, terminology, and the lens production process
- Develop a curriculum for employee development and career progression which will also include personal skills training that is not job specific
- Work with the General Managers, RVP, VP of Operations, Engineering, and others on specific training goals and objectives
- Provide training for employees from other locations who travel to the Ramsey lab and will occasionally travel up to 10% to other company locations
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Training experience of at least 3 years required
- Experience developing, writing training curriculum, and conducting training required
- Optical experience is required, and a Licensed Optician preferred
- Ability to travel 10% and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per Hoya’s MVR policy as driving is an essential job function
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel programs. Ability to learn and administer new programs
- A thorough understanding of Optical lens products, lab services, and the ophthalmic industry is a huge plus
