The Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for providing key elements of strategic planning and leadership to the Information Security Department and to other enterprise management partners where applicable. This position will help lead the department in all areas of service design, setting objectives and enhancing standards through developing and optimizing practices including but not limited to recruiting, training, scalability planning. As necessary, the position will be responsible for department led project management including project resources to analyze project needs, define requirements, resolve obstacles, develop and oversee test plans, develop and maintain project documentation and report (written and oral) project progress to stakeholders.
Responsibilities and skills must include:
- Fully understand the mission of the department and how it applies to the broader mission of the organization
- Coordinate with department head and applicable SMEs on the prioritization of projects
- Facilitate department recruiting efforts to find high performance professionals
- Develop skills gaps assessments based on existing and future information systems
- Work with internal and external partners to define technical recruiting parameters
- Augment the screening process to streamline the process for hiring managers
- Networking in the information and technology and cybersecurity communities
- Develop and maintain a recruiting lifecycle
- Develop training programs (online, and instructor lead modules) to include but not limited to:
- Enterprise information and technology systems
- Security
- Servant leadership at all chain of command levels
- Customer service standards
- Continual improvement
- Utilize Honu’s IMS tools to manage all projects arising from:
- Process improvements created to achieve IMS and all applicable regulatory compliance
- Corrective actions from audits
- Emergency projects assigned to the department by the department head
- Strong time-management skills and excellent communication skills (written and oral), which enable them to work with various employees and leaders within the company and with our clients
- Track and report weekly on status of each open project with stakeholders
- Track and report on obstacles/risks to meeting project objectives
- Conduct after action reviews (AAR) subsequent to, but not limited to, the following:
- Project closeout (large and small scale projects alike)
- Data compromise incident investigations
- Tabletop drill and training exercises
- Curate Lessons Learned subsequent to AARs
- Track the outputs of AARs to closure and report on closure weekly
- Other duties as assigned

Work Schedule/Expectations
This is a remote opportunity work-from-home position.
Although there is flexibility built into the role, it is expected that the HR Generalist be available during normal business hours and have a dedicated workspace
On occasion, the person in this role may be asked to support the client company’s needs early in the morning or evenings
Customer focus and responsiveness is a must in this position
Must be available to support multiple client companies across all time zones.
