Analyzes training needs, plans, designs, coordinates, and conducts training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Lead the Training Department within IPM – Field Machining.
- Define and manage the overall architecture of the IPM University Training program.
- Manage the evolution and implementation of Learning Management System (LMS).
- Ensure all training activities are properly documented and traceable by employee.
- Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
- Manage the planning, creation, and implementation of ongoing technical training and employee development programs using knowledge of effectiveness of methods, such as classroom training, demonstrations, videos, on-the-job training (OJT), online courses and workshops.
- Manage the development and organization of training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Manage the development, testing and evaluation procedures to assure trainees knowledge / understanding level.
- Manage the coordination of on-the-job training (OJT).
- Be the driving force, working collaboratively with managers, to track and monitor all employees’ timely progression through all aspects of the IPM training programs, OJT, etc.
- Monitors the effectiveness of training on employees using individual and/or group performance results.
- Review and evaluate training programs for continual improvement opportunities based on employee, manager and/ or customer feedback.
- Continuously makes improvements and expands the IPM University Training program.
- Develop, implement, and achieve key initiatives.
Qualifications

Education
- 2-year technical degree, required.
- 4-year degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Administrative Leadership, or Adult Education, preferred.
- Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Experience & Skills
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible related experience. Specifically, this position requires:
- Exceptional leadership skills, ability to mentor other leaders, and strong communication skills.
- Extensive project management skills.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how best to reach and engage anticipated trainees of a subject matter in order to create lesson plan, teaching techniques and learning aids accordingly.
- Ability to think ahead 3+ years and develop strategy for sustainable growth.
- Action oriented.
- Proficient computer-based skills, such as e-mail, outlook, Microsoft excel, word, etc.
- Experience with technical writing, preferred
- Experience with mechanical assembly or trades type environment, preferred
- Experience in a job shop or field environment, preferred
- Experience machining, preferred
Language Skills
Ability to read and analyze professional journals, operating procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, policies, procedure manuals, and training materials. Ability to effectively communicate with managers and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of specifications and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Manager Responsibilities
Carry out manager responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
- Occasionally sit, use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls
- Frequently talk or hear
- Frequently stand and walk
- Frequently climb ladders and stairs
- Frequently stoop, kneel, bend or crouch
- Frequently lift and/or move physical products (up to 50 lbs)
- Specific vision abilities: include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. These include: forklift traffic, overhead cranes, machining, welding, moving of mechanical parts and moderate noise. The majority of the work is performed indoors in a shop and office environment. Will spend a minimal amount of time outdoors in hot, cold, or otherwise inclement weather during part of the workweek.
