Independent Trailer Mechanic.
We are in search of an experienced Trailer Mechanic who specializes in electrical, inspecting, repairing, and doing preventative maintenance, fleet experience is a plus, we need mechanics who know all the components and systems of trailers used for hauling large loads.

Independent Trailer Mechanic.
We are in search of an experienced Trailer Mechanic who specializes in electrical, inspecting, repairing, and doing preventative maintenance, fleet experience is a plus, we need mechanics who know all the components and systems of trailers used for hauling large loads.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and/or rebuild trailers according to daily schedules.
- Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts as needed.
- Diagnose and repair trailer components such as electrical, doors, floors, and side panels.
- Troubleshoot, diagnosing, and repairing electrical is a must.
- Repair air and hydraulic brake systems.
- Diagnose and repair suspension problems.
- Fabricate parts by welding as needed, cutting, and grinding as needed.
- Utilize appropriate resources to determine the most effective and efficient method for repairing and locating parts.
- Weld metal parts using MIG welding processes with steel.
- Completion of work orders in a timely manner on the scheduled date.
- Document work completed for end-of-day invoicing.
- Perform preventative maintenance on a weekly basis.
- Keep the service truck organized and take proper care of all equipment on the truck and in the facilities.
- Follow all company rules and policies.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Knowledge and Skills for this Position:
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and other job-specific equipment and tools.
- Experience with welding steel.
- Lift materials, (up to 100 pounds).
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to demonstrate successful welding skills in non-standard situations and on varying materials is a plus.
- Ability to sit, walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing ( gloves, etc.)
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, good communication, and personal skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be reliable, with a strong and dependable work ethic and desire to contribute to a team.
- Willing to work 40+ hours weekly and some overtime.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Clean MVR
- Must be able to work independently this is a one-man job only, no mechanic helper.
- Personal tools required (list available upon request). Management may help with picking up of necessary tools.
- Ability to pass a background and driver’s license screening is required.

Full Time – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on the experience and ability Trailer Mechanic.
