Job Description:
TRAILBLAZER MASCOT
Hydrate prior to starting your session and at least after the first hour
Have fun, wave, dance, be active and engage with people!
Use the cooling device in the Mountain Lion Head at all times (Handler should carry an extra battery)
Wear shorts/t-shirt/head band if you need it ... very light clothing (dry fit clothing is best)
Dress and undress in the main athletic office or Dot's office
No talking! Mime everywhere you go
Do not disclose your identity
Do not initiate hugs, let people come to you
No inappropriate gestures
(those in the mascot suit will no longer have this opportunity if you are in violation)
If you are tired or feel light headed ... sit down and hydrate ... use a bathroom whenever necessary I
If raining/snowing, please stay inside a building when possible
Following your assignment-The MASCOT outfit may be taken off in the athletic dept. conference room and spread
out to air-do not put back into the plastic container ... please febreze the entire costume also -again ... hydrate I
HANDLER:
Wear MCLA appropriate garb
Make sure the mascot's tail isn't touched
Take photos of the mascot with students/parents, etc.
Bring a filled water bottle for you and the mascot (use a back pack)
Be very aware of the mascot surroundings and hold the mascot hand, if needed, while going up or down stairs
Requirements:
- Minimum height requirement to fit in costume
- MCLA school spirit
- Energetic and fun
Additional Information:
This position is open only to students currently enrolled at MCLA.
