Arcadis is seeking a Traffic Project Engineer to join the growing Traffic / Planning team.

Role description:

Specifically, we are looking for a candidate capable of leading the engineering effort, coordinating with internal and external clients, developing scope and cost estimates, developing, and maintaining project schedules.

Role accountabilities:
  • Project lead in delivering projects in the Traffic department.
  • Capacity analysis of intersections, corridors, and transportation systems of various sizes
  • Safety analysis of transportation systems including intersections, roundabouts, roadway segments, and interchanges
  • Experience with traffic engineering studies supporting intersection/roadway improvements.
  • Signing and Pavement Marking, Traffic Signal Design
  • Facilitating traffic data collection and data management
  • Intersection capacity analyses and traffic impact studies
  • Safety engineering experience and familiarity with HSM and FHWA tools to apply Crash Modification Factors in evaluating intersection improvement projects.
  • Familiarity with alternative intersection and interchange design solutions and tools and methodologies to evaluate and communicate results to technical and general audiences.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Georgia

Preferred Qualifications
  • Past / current experience as Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager on DOT projects (planning studies, traffic engineering studies, schematic development) / MPO / County planning projects
