Raytheon is seeking a Logistics Specialist to facilitate the technical and business tasks in support of the Shipping/Traffic function for both program operations and engineering materials. The overarching responsibility of this role is to ensure products reach their destinations safely, securely, and on-time.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and processing outbound shipping requests including submission into a government sale/shipping system.
  • Meeting on time deliverables including program costs and scheduling requirements.
  • Understand and execute on contractual sale and shipping requirements for our customers
  • Organize sale and transportation activities, including managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.
  • Coordinate and certify shipments in accordance with 49 CFR, IATA, NISPOM, and the Defense Transportation Regulations.
  • Maintain traffic accountability records, oversee the delivery of classified shipments, and arrange disposal of surplus or obsolete material.
  • Prepare domestic and international shipping labels, Hazardous declarations, Bill of Laden, and airway bills for outbound movement.
  • Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways.
  • Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule
  • Prioritizing daily workloads and maintain quality throughout the shipment process.
  • Communicating directly with internal and external customers

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Experience with shipping and packing hazardous materials for domestic and international movement.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Experience in a logistics, supply chain or related field
  • Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for data analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience with shipping government assets via TEAMS or ETOOLS.

Education:

Typically requires bachelor’s degree and (2) years of prior relevant experience.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
