Traffic Engineer Ii

Hire Resolves client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Traffic Engineer II in Detroit MI.

Responsibilities

• You will perform Traffic Engineering tasks such as: transportation safety evaluation, traffic operations analysis, traffic control device design, ITS system implementation, and travel demand modeling.
• Perform work on projects creating healthy communities, improving pedestrian and bicycle safety, and increasing transportation options.
• Perform work on projects ranging from small scale studies and design for isolated intersections to complex solutions for urban arterial networks and major highway systems.
• Perform design on innovative transportation solutions implementing Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) devices, ATMS software applications, and traffic signal systems.
• Collaborate with clients and public stakeholders including opportunities for work on-site at client offices.
  

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related
• E.I.T. and ability to obtain P.E. license within 2 years of hire
• Prior experience working in a traffic or transportation engineering related firm
• Two (2) – Five (5) years of progressive experience in Traffic Engineering
• Good writing, verbal communication and presentation skills including public speaking
• Experience with traffic analysis tools (Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, or ISATe) or traffic design tools (Microstation, Agi32, or GuideSIGN)
