Position: MO Traffic Control Branch Manager
Reports to: General Manager
Summary:
Utility Traffic & Restoration, LLC (UTR) is now accepting applications for an opening for a Traffic Control Branch Manager. UTR is a union contractor specializing in Traffic Control and surface restoration services for utility companies and their contractors throughout the Midwest.
This position is responsible for organizing and directing his/her work crew(s) daily to complete the scheduled work on time, safely, and in budget with little or no supervision. This position must be able to lead people and take full responsibility for the successful completion of all field operations related to Traffic Control for UTR Missouri.
Primary responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and coordinate all assigned personnel (supervisors, foremen, flaggers, delivery drivers, quality assurance, etc.) in your region
- Responsible for the overall hiring and staffing in your region including promotions and terminations
- Manage effective communication and problem solving with GM, other Area Managers, Safety, fleet, HR, billing, and other company departments
- Perform on-site safety and quality inspections
- Ensure time sheets and billing tickets are turned in promptly and are accurate and ready for time entry and billing
- Onboard customers/vendors and maintain positive relationships
- Deal with DOT and other state, county and local municipalities and ensure compliance with their rules and regulations
- Provide bids, estimates, pricing, RFP’s, RFI’s to potential and existing customers
- Maintain fleet and equipment including repairs, preventative maintenance, and overall good working order
- Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel
- Properly document incidents, accidents, and injuries and coordinate with Safety Manager on resolution
- Additional duties as requested

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of leadership in a Traffic Control related position
- Proven ability to be a leader and inspire respect and trust in a diverse work force including supervisors, foremen, and field crews
- Effective communication with employee’s, customers, vendors, state/local agencies, and other company locations/departments
- Proven ability to onboard and maintain effective relationships with customers
- Ability to consistently meet or exceed productivity standards
- Ability to ensure projects operate profitably
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and detail in the work performed
- Proficient user of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook; willingness and ability to learn more
- Experience with utilizing, maintaining, and repairing trucks and equipment
- Experience with estimating, bidding, pricing, and providing information to potential customers
