Description: This position provides support and guidance on oversight of processes including in the development, installation, cost analysis, maintenance, HRIS administration, and delivery of Total Rewards programs so that the organization can effectively recruit, retain, and motivate the engagement, productivity and commitment of highly qualified staff.

Support

  • Conduct job evaluation, market and equity analysis, cost analysis of OH Health’s pay programs; audit and ensure on-going validity/appropriateness of grade assignments.
  • Evaluate compensation practices and compiling relevant statistics & market data to support/ partner with teams regarding new Compensation design initiatives.
  • Participate in compensation surveys including the evaluation and determination of appropriate benchmark matches and maintain data in compensation management system; prepare responses and provide appropriate data to survey organizations, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time; conduct focused salary surveys as needed; provide comprehensive survey analysis on an annual basis.
  • Provide ongoing support to the VP, Total Rewards and Compensation Director on a variety of projects, equity, and incentive program analytics, including assisting with the preparation of compensation committee meeting materials
  • Support annual compensation planning process for merit increases, bonus payouts and STIP payments.
  • Prepare and distribute communications regarding eligibility and overview of bonus and/or retention programs.
  • Participate with HR Business Partners/Management in the design of new job descriptions, review and revise job descriptions as required, ensuring completeness, consistency of content and format; determine FLSA status and appropriate grade assignment, considering competitive external market dynamics and internal equity; create job and position codes in Workday; provide coaching to managers on FLSA, compensation administration and communication within their departments.
  • Focus on delivering support efforts within established service level agreements to ensure department key performance indicators are met.

Project Delivery/Process Optimization

  • Assist in Compensation process improvement projects, data analysis and research that require a comprehensive knowledge of compensation best practices.
  • Plan and conduct projects designed to improve OU Health’s pay programs and systems; recommend compensation policy, process, and program improvements; develop and document procedures to streamline processes; develop annual compensation pay action calendar and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain HRIS compensation and benefits Workday workflows for tracking and analysis purposes.
  • Support Open Enrollment and Annual Merit Salary Planning processes.
  • Support the execution of projects (includes M&A, Financial Feasibility, etc.).
  • Maintain awareness of best practices, including processes and technology, and identify opportunities for improvement of existing functionality.
  • Develop, use existing, or research new tools that efficiently and accurately present data in useful formats; Continuously seek opportunities for synergy, improvement, simplification and automation of existing processes and reporting. Assist with broader Total Rewards initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in compensation, financial analysis
  • With at least one (1) year experience with HRIS HCM benefits/Compensation.
  • Preferred:Human Resources experience in a health care setting; Project management experience; HRIS experience with mainframe or network HRIS system(s) – i.e., creating reports, developing, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working with workflow analysis and procedure development.
  • Experienced in developing, maintaining, and engaging working relationships across divisions/departments.
  • Experienced with Workday and MarketPay preferred.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills; successful engagement with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in work.
  • Strong Microsoft software programs with exceptional skills in Excel, Power Point, and Word.
  • Experienced in the application of federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to physician/provider compensation, especially as it relates to fair market value evaluation is preferred.
  • Experience in organizational policies, procedures and processes related to compensation.
  • Experience with working independently, prioritizing workload, and being flexible to change.
  • Knowledgeable/ understanding of continuous process improvement (CPI) and proven track record of applying (CPI) to processes.
  • Collaborative with exceptionally strong creative thinking.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs and various styles and approaches.
  • Able to operate at all levels of the organization, cross-functionally and cross geography.
  • Analytical depth, exceptional judgment, and strong project-management focus.
  • Proactively anticipating needs and using trends/analytics to drive key decisions.
  • Successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on top priorities and high impact economic and behavioral drivers.
