Toolpusher

The Tool pusher supervises all drilling operations and manages the crew. A Tool pusher has an integral role to ensure crew efficiency, be technically familiar with various drilling techniques and processes, problem solve, and effectively communicate issues both orally and written to optimize the profitability of the company's site operations. The Tool pusher is ultimately responsible for all equipment and staff while on location. The Tool pusher is expected to work demanding and variable hours. A Tool pusher must report to the General Manager daily. Primary Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

The Duties and Responsibilities of a Tool pusher are:

administrates all drilling work practices and rig operations to ensure that all the activities meet the performance criteria, contractual requirements, and mandatory rules and regulations.

directs the drilling crew in rig moving operations; instructs the team to erect, dismantle, and lift drilling rigs.

ensure employees have sufficient rig components, spare parts, and tools to continue efficient operations.

monitors subordinates’ day-to-day performance and ensures their progress meets the standard.

to supervise Job Safety Analysis and Pre-trip Inspections are completed before using the machinery.

manage and direct prescribed preventive maintenance program on all equipment.

to effectively supervise staff while on location to ensure proper PPE is worn at all times.

to understand that work may be required at more than one site, and to travel when required.

to complete all paperwork required and to turn in daily.

to mentor and develop staff members to perform drilling operations

to be able to communicate effectively with management and other employees.

to understand and be able to implement company policies, procedures and standards

to be accountable for all equipment/tools through weekly inventory inspections

to perform any and all duties assigned by the General Manager to meet Company objectives.

Minimum Requirements for a person to be appointed to the role of Tool pusher are:

must have a valid driver’s license.

the employee must successfully pass pre-employment Urine Analysis and random UA’s as deemed necessary

by management

the employee must undertake a background check and drivers’ license check before job offer is extended.

to maintain confidentiality of information to protect Santa Rosa Well Service interests and sign a deed of

confidentiality

Be familiar with surface drilling operations and various rigs to include RD-20, Atlas-Copco T-4, and Schram T130

Have performed the duties of a Tool pusher for no less than 2 years.

Class A CDL

Welding

Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Platforms

Excellent communicator both verbally and written.

Self-Starter comfortable operating autonomously

Mechanically inclined
