Toolmaker

Competitive candidates will have assembly experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive aftermarket industry.

Primary job responsibilities include:

· Installation of new equipment and altering existing equipment to aid in faster and more efficient production methods.

· Ability to reverse engineer fixtures for existing components and/or assemblies.

· Fabricate jigs & tools without the benefit of blueprints and/or all aspects being previously designed, etc.

· Capable of performing layout, setup, and fabrication of production tooling.

· Design & build fixtures for robotic welding machines and robotic material handling machines.

· Other machine fixture design and toolmaking as assigned.

Typical tasks include:

· Assembling, fitting, and repairing tools

· Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders

· Using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, gauges and vernier calipers to check the tool’s dimensions

· Assisting with tool maintenance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
