Terrelonge Staffing is in search of a skilled In-House Tool Technician for our esteemed client. This role is integral to maintaining and enhancing the operational efficiency of our client's manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tool maintenance, repair, and optimization within a manufacturing or production environment. As an In-House Tool Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of tools and equipment, contributing directly to the quality and efficiency of production operations. This position demands a meticulous, problem-solving individual who can perform detailed work under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance, repair, and adjustment of manufacturing tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with tools and machinery, implementing effective solutions promptly.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to understand tool requirements and specifications for new and ongoing projects.
- Implement and document maintenance schedules and protocols to ensure all tools and equipment are in excellent working condition.
- Assist in the development and modification of tools to improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, ordering new items as necessary to prevent operational delays.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and techniques in tooling and maintenance to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff on the proper use and maintenance of tools.
- Participate in quality assurance processes, ensuring that tools meet or exceed industry standards and project specifications.
Qualifications, Experience, Education:
- Proven experience as a Tool Technician, Toolmaker, or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong technical and mechanical skills, with a deep understanding of tooling materials, machinery, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in tooling, mechanical maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment and interacting with various departments.
