As a tool Technician in the Injection Molding department you are an essential part in helping Entegris be part of the future of Innovation. The injection molding department produces a variety of high-quality plastic components from resin that is utilized by our customers in their manufacturing processes.

The Role:
Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking a Tool Technician to join our team. As a tool Technician in the Injection Molding department you are an essential part in helping Entegris be part of the future of Innovation. The injection molding department produces a variety of high-quality plastic components from resin that is utilized by our customers in their manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do:
- Installs tools, set up auxiliary equipment and supplies, operates equipment and processes using ergonomic guidelines and best practices. Remove tool, auxiliary equipment and supplies using ergonomic guidelines and best practices.
- Starts up equipment and produces acceptable product with the use of provided documentation to shutdown per best practices and procedures.
- Interprets, identifies, and records information on job documents.
- Performs measurement of required dimensions. Produces product to meet customer requirements. Maintains adjustments to equipment, tools, and workstations. Corrects the product and processes to meet quality standards. Suggests or performs corrective actions to correct quality problems.
- Understands and demonstrates the need to support production by having tools Green Tagged as needed. Ability to repair tools in the press if possible to allow quick turn-around with issues as they arise within competency level.
- Maintains current and appropriate documentation in mold files.
- Maintains min/max inventories of mold cleaning and polishing supplies. Incumbent has knowledge of mold polishing process and efficient application of product to produce required surface finishes on tool steel.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems related to mold cycling and mold function in the press.
What We Seek:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in plastics based injection molding setup and/or maintenance
- Ability to perform repetitive pushing and sliding of mold plates and mold inserts.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- This role involves frequent pinching and grasping of hand/power tools.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow documented processes and procedures.
- Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, repetitively twist, bend and reach upward and handle small screws, washers, fasteners, etc.
