This position will support the plant operations by issuing items and processing kits for all tooling from the crib to manufacturing floor. This position will support continuous improvement goals and objectives in set-up and cost reduction through improvements to external set-up and supply usage practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Control and keep track of all fixtures, diamond rolls, gages, scooters and set masters.
  • Daily walk around on shop floor to check for gages not in use.
  • Manage to continuously improve tool delivery systems.
  • Build, maintain and improve setup tool kits.
  • Coordinate operation sheet control.
  • Remove finished operation tool kits from cells.
  • Coordinate rejected diamond rolls out for repair.
  • Re-stage all tooling returned to crib.
  • Process and kit all new tooling entering the shop.
  • Update all tooling surveillance stickers.
  • Coordinate inspection gages between crib and layout.
  • Issue items from crib to manufacturing floor (back up of supply crib).
  • Interface with outside vendors/suppliers and internal support personnel to maintain correct inventory levels, taking corrective measures to completion where needed.
  • Maintain inventory integrity of all tooling utilizing electronic gage tracking programs.
  • Actively participate, promote and comply with all EHS and Quality programs and policies.
  • Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

SPECIFICATIONS
  • Education: ­High School diploma
  • Skills and Abilities :
  • Ability to speak, understand and comprehend the English language in both written and verbal context.
  • Use of use of basic math skills including decimals and fractions; basic writing skills; and basic reading skills and comprehension are required for this position.
  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience with processes that required planning, performing and making decisions.
  • Basic keyboarding and data entry skills.
  • Familiarity with computer operations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems, such as Oracle or other relational databases.

Experience :

Position requires a minimum of 3 year's manufacturing experience.
Experience working in a warehouse or inventory control position preferred.

Various production equipment, computer and telephone, mobile equipment, lifting devices for moving tooling/fixtures.

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
