Tool & Die Maker I
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining tool room machine tools and equipment.
- Responsible for interpreting and operating precision measuring instruments.
- Responsible for interpreting and performing work from verbal instructions, sketches, and/or precision blueprints.
- Responsible for completing necessary paperwork and job log information.
- Responsible for selecting correct components and procedures for fabrication.
- Ability to consistently work within and hold tolerances of .001".
- Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and occasionally write simple CNC programs.
- Ability to understand and apply GD&T as required.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- To furnish their own basic precision measuring tools and required hand tools.
- Ability to understand and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Follow company Quality Control standard, Interpret and apply ISO standards.
- Accurately complete required paperwork and utilize electronic timekeeping hardware/software.
- Communicate any and all shop related issues to immediate supervisor. i.e. Machine faults, required machine maintenance, tooling supplies, etc.
- Will be required to follow shop safety standards and follow shop clean-up procedures.
