Tool And Die Maker

Summary: Seeking a Tool and Die Maker / Tooling Tech / Tool Room Tech specialized in tool repair, PM issues resolution, and tool creation.

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in operating MANUAL Lathes, MANUAL Mills, and Surface Grinders

• Experience with CNC Mills, Lathes and EDM Machines

• Ability to interpret models, blueprints, sketches or specifications for fabricating tools, dies or assemblies

• Familiarity with standard tool room measuring tools (Height gage, micrometers, calipers etc.)

• Experience with manual mill, surface grinder and other manual tool room equipment

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in performing hand operations needed to produce tools and molds using hand tools of the trade

Job Responsibilities:

• Cut, shape and finish tools made of metal used to produce products

• Produce prototypes

• Ensure Production has useful, reliable and functioning tooling to maximize Resource Utilization

• Improve and maintain tooling

• Direct the Die Setter on tooling matters

• Work with Engineering to make prototypes

-Provide technical guidance on fabrication issues

 

 

 

 

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
