Tool Crib Inventory Manager Job Description
Job Summary:
The tool Inventory Manager is responsible for cutting tools quotation, inventory control, replenishing stock, and vending machines. Tools allocation and distribution per schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze Inventory reports and ERP system data to determine purchasing needs.
- Place new orders with Supply chain.
- Review inventory.
- Perform stock inventory.
- Replenish production and vending machines inventory.
- Track and report overages and unscheduled requests.
- Track and report damaged or abused tools.
- Issue RFQ for tools and other procurement goods.
- Receive bids and make purchases.
- Follow up and manage the incoming delivery times.
- Identify corrective action remedies for defective or unacceptable goods or services.
- Gather and report supplier performance.
- Expedite orders, provide updates of schedule changes to production and engineering.
- Maintain records of purchases, receipts and inventory levels using ERP system, purchase orders, receiving logs and cycle counts.
- Handle vendor correspondence.
- Provide technical data to suppliers as needed.
- Maintain status of open purchase orders
Tool Crib Inventory ManagerNecessary Education, Skills, and Competencies (including licensing and certifications):
- Associate degree in supply chain management or related field (preferred, but not required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Suites such as word and excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively and with all areas of the organization.
- Prior experience or ability to learn to effectively use ERP and/or MRP system.
- Ability to learn reading engineering drawing and tools manufacturing specification.
- Critical thinking skills
- Must read and write English.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
