Tool Crib Attendant

Position Summary:

Responsible for the availability, distribution, inventory, record keeping, and ordering of Tool Crib items, safety supplies, CBN Wheels, Diamond Rolls, Grinding Wheels, and/or other equipment for the facility. __________________________________________________________________________________________

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receive, store, and issue Tool Crib items, safety supplies, CBN Wheels, Diamond Rolls, Grinding Wheels, and/or other equipment to requesting personnel and various departments throughout all facilities.
• Maintain records of CBN Wheels, Diamond Rolls, Grinding Wheels, Tool Crib items, and other items issued and returned, either manually and/or using a computer.
• Take periodic inventory and/or maintain a perpetual inventory of Tool Crib items, safety supplies, CBN Wheels, Diamond Rolls, Grinding Wheels, equipment and other items either manually and/or using a computer.
• Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming items as outlined above.
• Requisitions and/or reorders stock to replenish inventory and maintain items as outlined above.
• Track and monitor grinding wheel usage and parts flow to properly re order.
• Inspect and measure tools, equipment, or other items for defects or wear either visually or using a micrometer or other tools
• Deliver grinding wheels or equipment to personnel/departments manually or using a hand truck
• Maintain, inventory, and work with personnel and suppliers for linens and uniforms.
• Mark and identify tools, equipment, and/or other items using an identification tag, stamp, marker, electric marking tool, and/or other means of identification application
• Review requisitions and invoices for accuracy
• Maintain files on vendors, and other items as listed above either manually and/or using a computer
• Discuss procurement needs with Supervisors/Buyers as necessary
• Schedule and coordinate purchasing requirements with Supervisor to support manufacturing needs
• Prepare, verify, and distribute various periodic reporting requirements to/for designated personnel
• Occasionally take trips to local suppliers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills/Qualifications:

• Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Years of Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment or related experience
• Skills/Abilities: Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use good judgement
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills required including knowledge in the use of spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and ERP system.
• Ability to lift, push and/or pull up to and including approximately 75 lbs
• May include any one or a combination of the following for various time periods: climbing, prolong sitting, prolong standing, considerable walking, bending, and/or stopping
