Job Description
The Tool Crib Lead inventories, stores and distributes hand tools and other equipment. Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications and safe condition by performing frequent inspection of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. The Tool Crib Lead keeps an inventory of tools by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or operating system. Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed.
This position has training and experience in an industrial or aviation environment with familiarity of heavy machinery and tools. Works to promote a safe work environment by confirming that employees clearly understand the roles and responsibilities related to the tools being issued to them.
The role includes timely reporting of concerns to the appropriate manager and reassessing the needs of the daily requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Routinely conduct worksite observations
· Ensures equipment is in compliance with standards
· Maintains a master inventory of tooling issued and returned
· Verify that all calibrated items have a calibration sticker
· Monitors the calibration of tools and relevant documentation pertaining thereto and maintains tool in proper working condition according to FAA guidelines.
· Evaluation of damaged tool is performed to determine the disposition of the tool
· Ensure the tool room is maintained clean, neat, and organized manner.
· Follows safety procedures use of appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed.
· Completes required documentation as mandated per AvEx RSM
· Basic computer skills required for reporting and tracking
· Must have excellent organization, communication and planning skills
· Weekends and shift work as needed.
· Additional duties as required.
