Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Tool Cage Attendant issues tools, parts, and equipment to workers, maintains records of issued tools, and monitors the Tool Cage inventory. Keep an active inventory, and replace inventory as needed to maintain an efficient stock of parts. This includes ordering, receiving, and entering parts into computer. This position also includes having a working knowledge of all sorts of tools and maintenance equipment, and to keep them in good repair for use.

• Receives, stores, inspects and distributes tools and equipment to Atkinson Candy employees.
• Maintain database inventory of all available, in use, and being maintained tools, part, and other equipment.
• Cleans, sharpens, calibrate, lubricate and properly stores all tools and equipment.
• Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisition stock to replenish inventory.
• Able to communicate with vendors, and build a working relationship with vendors.
• Keeping track of preventative maintenance sheets and work orders, and imputing these into the computer as they are done by maintenance personnel.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Previous experience in a machining or manufacturing environment preferred
• Knowledge of various types of tools and equipment used in machining processes
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic skills in computers, office quipment, emails for maintaining inventory records
• General inventory knowledge.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience and or training.
• Use of electric pallet jack when moving inventory to shelves.
• Must be able to walk or stand for at least a period of 8 hours, bend, walk and lift up to 50 pounds.
