Title I Teacher Purpose: The Title I teacher works with children individually or in small groups providing instruction consistent with Title I provisions in various subjects. Qualifications: Bachelor's DegreeCurrent Kansas State Teaching License Responsibilities: Coordinate and provide strategic academic instruction to meet the individual needs of students - especially in reading and math.Attend in-service trainings and meetings.Assist teachers in the use of assessment data to guide and differentiate instruction.Implement strategies to encourage, instruct, and monitor to optimize student learning.Maintain comprehensive and precise record of student progress and required documentation.Positively correct inconducive behavior in accordance with district procedures and rules.Prepare lesson plans for interventions.Provide communication to teachers regarding students' academic progress.Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.Keeping students safe physically, emotionally, and mentally while they attend school.Communicating with parents and other staff members regularly, including writing progress reports and holding parent/teacher conferences when necessary/scheduled.Abiding by the State and District rules and regulations.
